]]>Read below for our best tips to remove your false eyelashes properly!
1. Always dissolve the Lash Glue firstThis first step in learning how to remove false eyelashes is ensuring a seamless removal of the lashes and not forcing them to come off! Take a cotton swab and dip it in some makeup remover (preferably oil-free). After that, rub it along the lash band where it is attached to your eye to help dissolve the glue before attempting to remove the lashes.
2. Gently nudge the lash band
While many of us may think you would take the lashes off by pulling from the lashes themselves, we have a more useful suggestion which will extend the life of your beautiful lashes. Gently take your finger and push the lashes down where the band sits. If the lashes are resisting being pushed down, take your cotton swab and makeup remover and apply some more along the band so the glue dissolves.
In short: they should easily come off, you shouldn’t need to force it, and always handle by the band!
3. Rub off remnants of glue from the lash bandOnce you’ve got the lashes off, you can take out another cotton swab dipped in makeup remover, and rub off any remaining lash glue that is on the band. This will help maintain the softness of the band so they can be reused again and again!
4. Store in casing after use
If you're wearing Esqido mink lashes, they are reusable, and we’ve designed a beautiful and purposeful package that lets you store your lashes after each use! Place your cleaned mink lashes into the box to prevent any unwanted dust, dirt or debris from getting onto the lashes. If you're wearing other false eyelashes, simply store them back in their original packaging or in a clean box. The lashes are reusable, simply take out your favourite lash glue to reapply next time.
Now that you have learned how to remove false eyelashes, you can understand how these steps are crucial to keeping your mink lashes in top shape in order to reuse them as long as possible, and give you that perfect signature look, time and time again.
]]>When it comes to false eyelashes, there are a ton of different things to think about. What type, what size, what style? All of these things are important, but without a doubt, the first skill to master is applying classic strip lashes to your eyes. We’re here to make it simple and easy so that you can pump up your look in a snap. You’ll need your ESQIDO mink lashes, tweezers, small scissors, eyelash glue and mascara.
There are a few steps you should follow for the perfect false eyelash application:
Ease of application: How smooth is the formula? You want to find the perfect balance between too smooth and too rigid. Sometimes when you have an eyeliner that is too smooth, it's likely that the product is quite soft which causes breakage or over application. Too rigid or too dry a product might give you an undesired finish -- a liner that is not pigmented enough or uneven application.
Versatility: Can you liner be smoked out, defined, or even winged out? You want to have one product that does it all. Why carry 3 products when you can have it all in one? Other than gel liners, we challenge you to find another liner that does all 3.
Formula: Ever find that your eyeliner skips or applies unevenly on your eyes? You might want to consider a different formula. Liquid liner is great when you have a very steady hand or a larger lid space, but even the pros struggle with liner sometimes. It's hard to fix and often not water resistant. A gel based formula is perfect for application and easy to fix. Best of all, when set, its smudge-proof and water resistant.
Eye shape: Who hates getting liner all over the lid because you accidentally blinked before your liner was dry? WE DO. Those with monolids will understand. It's an extra few minutes we didn't have to fix it, plus we just ruined our beautiful smokey eye! That's why we opted with a gel pencil. It's perfectly pigmented like a gel liner and conveniently housed in a pencil form. This formula takes no time to set and won't transfer all over our lids!

If you've been doing any kind of research into false eyelashes, you've probably come across a few types of falsies out there. There's a plethora of options to choose from - eyelash extensions, luxurious mink lashes, faux mink lashes, or even silk lashes.
But how do you know which ones are the most natural looking or comfortable, or better yet, works with your eyes, and your budget?
Well, fret not! We're here to help guide you through this maze of lash lingo and cut through the hype, so you understand what the REAL differences are, and find you the perfect pair that you'll be truly happy with!
False eyelashes can differ in quality and fineness depending on the type and brand.
Let's start with Silk Lashes shall we?
First thing's first, while some brands market their silk lashes as 100% silk lashes, they are a synthetic based silk fibre, not actually real silk, as real silk is quite a soft material and won't be able to hold its shape and curl. Depending on whether this is important to you, you'll want to do some research to find out what kind of synthetic fibre the lash brand is actually using.
"Silk" lashes are a newer type of lashes that have come out in recent years, that's finer and more natural looking than the traditional faux mink eyelashes. Although sometimes, it seems the terms are used interchangeably, and look wise, they could be quite similar.
Silk lashes are not made with real silk, they're made with a synthetic material
Are they reusable?
Yup! Silk lashes can be reused multiple wears with proper care. While we can't promise a number, the general rule of thumb (with any falsies), is to always dab some makeup remover and run it along the lash band until the glue dissolves, then continue to remove any remnants of the glue to keep them going strong.
What's the difference between silk lashes vs faux mink lashes?
It depends on the lash brand. The main difference depends on the brand and their construction process. You'll notice with some silk lashes that they may have higher and a more noticeable sheen. Other than that, they are fairly comparable in terms of look and feel, it depends on personal preference.
More importantly, if you want to add volume to your lashes while looking natural, we recommend finding the right style, length, and pattern that fits your unique eye type, as there may only be minor differences between Silk vs Faux Mink lashes.
How much do silk lashes cost?
Prices for a pair of silk lashes can range around $18-$25 USD depending on the brand.
How do they look?
Here's how some silk lashes look:
A pair of the more premium silk lashes which are finer.
Simply put, Faux Mink is premium type of synthetic lash that was intended to mimic the quality and fineness of real Mink Lashes. It's a vegan friendly option that is made from plastic fibres, although the technology has improved over the years to make them look more natural than before.
How does it compare to real Mink eyelashes?
Depending on the brand of faux mink lashes you try, each could have their own construction method, some of them may not use a soft band, and make their entire lash out of plastic, therefore it would be stiffer and harder to apply than those made with a softer material, such as cotton. It's a case of trial and error.
Synthetic lashes also tend to have slightly more sheen than real mink hair, it's ever so slightly noticeable, but unless you're walking down the red carpet catching strobe lights during Oscars season, none will be the wiser.
Do they last as long?
This also really depends on the brand, but from our experience, faux mink lashes are definitely reusable. You should find out if they are using a plastic band or cotton band, or simply try out their lashes and see how the construction quality is.
How much do faux mink lashes cost?
Similar to silk lashes, a pair of faux mink lashes average around $18-$25 USD.
How do they look?
Here's some faux mink inspo for you, they don't make for as impressive of a flat lay for the Grams, but hey, you get what you pay for right?
A typical pair of faux mink lashes, fineness can vary.
Lastly, a lash comparison wouldn't be complete without the lashes that started it all; good old Mink Lashes. More likely than not, you've probably heard of eyelash extensions at some point, you know, the type where you have to book an appointment, lay down for two hours, while you make small-talk with a (hopefully) certified lash technician to put lashes on you strand by strand, with (hopefully) surgical precision.
We took this concept of eyelash extensions, and turned it into a strip based lash anyone could apply anywhere, easily
Needless to say, the lengths we go to for beauty is admirable, but let's face it, we don't always have time to sit around for 2 hours, nor do we want to shell out anywhere from $100-$200 to have beautiful lashes for a few weeks, then go back and repeat that cycle again.
What made our ESQIDO Mink lashes so popular was because we took this concept and the quality of eyelash extensions, and created a strip based lash that anyone could apply from the comfort of their own home, or car (just kidding, please don't lash and drive).

A cotton band
Mink lashes (at least ours), are unlike synthetic lashes you can find in drug stores. They're made with a soft cotton band, which makes them lightweight, comfortable, and super easy to apply. Our mink hair also provides each lash strand with a tapered effect, just like a natural hair should because they are always shaped by hand, never cut.
Easy to apply and false eyelashes? That's an oxymoron right?
That's right, easy to apply and false eyelashes, you're thinking, that's an oxymoron right? We kid you not, the reason many beginners fail at applying lashes is because they often start with a cheap pair of synthetic lashes, that are machine molded and are not crafted to be comfortable. The bands are stiff and the lashes are cut to shape — often resulting in an unnatural look.
Not only are the the typical lash bands stiff and stubborn, they don't shape to your eyes very, meaning the ends can easily come off. With a cotton band, you don't have this issue.
Here's a close up of the Unforgettable Mink lashes.
Hairs as natural as your own (even finer, actually.)
Of course, a lash band isn't the main reason you buy lashes (I mean unless you're a lash band connoisseur, in which case, rejoice!) You want to add some volume and length to your natural lashes, keyword being natural, and mink lashes are famous for that.
Because of their fineness and similar properties to human lashes, mink hairs are an ideal material to use for making natural looking lashes that add beautiful looking volume, with strands that taper off at the ends.
But do they last as long as extensions? Hint: Yes!
One of the main draw of mink lashes (again, at least the ones we've created), are actually their durability. They are not one-time use and disposable lashes (reuse reduce right?). With proper care, mink lashes could last multiple wears, we've even had customers wear ours over 30+ times until it finally said "No more! I'm done being applied on your eyes!". We're paraphrasing, but the point is, they are resilient!
How much do mink lashes cost?
Depending on the brand, it could range anywhere from $25-$45 USD. We retail ours starting at only $29 USD. See the famous mink lash collection here.
So sounds like Mink lashes are the crème de la crème, what do they actually look like?
Glad you asked! Here's some awesome eye candy (no pun intended) to feast your eyes upon:

Didn't we tell you not to fret? We got you! Check out helpful links below, practice makes perfect, but a good pair of lashes will make your first application that much easier, here's some tips & tricks:
False eyelashes are becoming one of the most popular beauty staples on the market. They can add drama and dimension for a night out, or go perfectly with lip gloss in place of makeup during the day. However, they can slowly start losing some of their initial curls if they’ve been worn multiple times. The best way to refresh your lashes without having to go buy new ones is to apply a new curl without making them look unnatural.
The key to curling false eyelashes is a combination of heat and curl without giving the lashes a sharp kink. There are a couple of ways that you can achieve this, either before you apply your lashes or afterward. Be sure to size your lashes properly first.
Curling the lashes after they're applied
If you’d like to put your lashes on first and then curl them, first clean and heat your eyelash curler with warm water. Then curl your natural lashes and apply your false eyelashes as close to the lash line as possible.
After reheating your curler, very gently curl both your natural and false eyelashes together and hold for several seconds. Don’t squeeze too hard or pulse the curler or you’ll develop a kink. You may have to repeat the curling several times with a reheated curler depending on the level of curl you want to achieve. Once you have the desired look, apply at least two coats of mascara in order to hold the curl in place.
Curling before you put on the lashes (optional)
In order to curl your lashes before you put them on, you’ll need a round tube whose diameter matches the level of curl you’d like. A mascara tube works great. Take your false lashes and lay them over the tube. Wrap a piece of tissue over the tube in order to hold the lash in place, and then use your hair dryer on low about six inches away to apply heat for several seconds. Check the lash and apply more heat or change your tube size as desired. Then curl your natural lashes and apply the curled falsies. A couple of coats of mascara, or black eyeliner and you’re good to go!
In conclusion
Once again, the important thing is to use gentle heat and pressure in order to avoid that kinky, sharp bend in the lash. Slowly curling them to the desired level is the way to go and ensures that you always have that perfect, eye-popping look.
]]>Getting ready in a hurry
Have you ever woken up late for work and wondered how you were going to cram your 45-minute makeup routine into 10 frenzied minutes? Or maybe you’ve been sorting through a hundred different pins on Pinterest trying to find a new look for your big first date. If you want to have some fun and spice up your routine, or simply have something you can rely on daily to add a finishing touch to your look, false eyelashes are the answer!
Get more "stunning" from your routine
One of the greatest benefits of wearing false eyelashes is that they can take the place of wearing a large amount of makeup in much less time. Once you’ve got the hang of it, false eyelashes take less than 10 minutes to apply and are already colored and curled for a beautiful look in a snap.
False eyelashes take less than 10 minutes to apply and can make a huge difference to your look
Instead of a full regimen of primer, foundation, contour, bronzer, blush, full eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and brows, it can be a refreshing change to simply put on some BB cream, a little blush, and some false eyelashes. Your eyes will pop against your fresh skin and people will notice how beautiful and confident you look.
Finding the right pair for the right occasion
Everyday False eyelashes can add amazing drama with a very little amount of work. If you want to dress to impress on a date, attend a wedding, go to dinner party, or simply having a girl's night out, the right style can make all the difference!
There is a huge variety of falsies out there in order to achieve any look you may be going for, from a few single lashes to large feathered strips. False eyelashes highlight in a way that nothing else can.
To ensure you find the right pair, try our Interactive Lash Guide.
Lastly, one of the overlooked benefits of wearing false eyelashes is to give your face a more youthful appearance. Most women associate falsies with the young generation and think they’re completely off limits. Nothing could be further from the truth! Many mature women struggle with thinning eyelashes, and subtly adding a few single lashes to the outside corners of your eyes or even applying a natural strip can make all the difference. The lashes open up the eyes and brighten the face for a gorgeous energetic look.
Recommended styles
For ladies with less natural lashes, we recommend styles like our Little Black Lash, or Bread & Butter. And for those blessed with fuller natural lashes, we recommend styles like our Lashlorette and Smoke & Fire.
Best of all, have fun!
Adding something as simple as false eyelashes is an easy way to add some glam to your look, or simply change up your routine and have some fun! Next time you want to add a bit of drama or volume to your lashes, try throwing on a pair of false lashes with your lash glue and see the huge difference they can make!
]]>There are a lot of ways to ensure that your false eyelashes look flawless and natural. Be sure to pick a pair of versatile eye shape lash. Next step you definitely don’t want to overlook is making sure that they’re the right size lashes for your eyes. Eyelashes that are the wrong size can make your eyes look droopy or make the false eyelashes stand out too harshly against your natural lashes.
When you first get your false eyelashes, take a look at the vein that holds all of the lashes together. Most strip eyelashes have an inner and outer edge. The inner edge should look tapered, while the outer edge has a blunt tip. This is because the taper will blend more evenly into the delicate eyelashes that naturally occur in the inner corner of your eyes, while the outside edge is blunt for sizing.
When you go to measure and size your lashes, place the tapered end of the false lash against your lash line about a quarter of an inch from the corner of your eye. You want the false lashes to start right where your natural lashes begin to thicken in order for them to blend together. Once you have that end set, run the false lash along your lash line and measure the false eyelashes right at the edge of your eye. Any wider and they will cause your eyes to look drooped and the falsies to appear more prominent.
Once you have that spot marked, snip the lashes on the vein, taking care to avoid cutting any of the lashes themselves. After they’ve been cut, your false lashes are sized and ready to go!
Note: It’s recommended to size your lashes for each eye individually, instead of measuring one and then cutting the other to match. Sometimes your eyelashes grow differently on each eye and you don’t want to ruin an eyelash.
]]>Wearing ESQIDO mink lashes is the perfect way to add a boost of confidence and glamour to your day. That being said, nothing can dash your spirits faster than having something go wrong when you’re out and about! The most common issue that can happen is having a false eyelash begin to come loose at the corner, or even fall completely off. So what can you do in order to avoid this classic eyelash dilemma?
We will show you how to fix false eyelashes when the ends detach. As the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The best way to ensure that your lashes stick with you all day is to make sure that you adhere them properly when you first put them on. Make sure that you size the eyelash correctly so that it doesn’t have edges hanging off of your eye. Then, most importantly, apply eyelash glue to the vein of the false eyelash. Allow the glue to set for 30-50 seconds until it’s tacky to the touch. Then push the lash onto your lash line, paying special attention to the edges, until they’re cemented together. You can use a toothpick or a cotton swab to press hard and ensure good adherence. Also, make sure that your glue is fresh and replace it if it becomes old and dried out.
Even if you attach your eyelashes properly, you can still have a public emergency. Sometimes you might absentmindedly scratch the false eyelash loose or the glue might fail from being old and brittle. The best way to be prepared for this is to pack your eyelash glue, a few pressing tools such as toothpicks, tweezers or cotton swabs, and whichever eyeliner you used that day. If you feel your lash coming loose at any point, head to the bathroom and get to work. If you simply have a loose corner, use the toothpick to apply a bit of glue directly to the loose vein and a bit right on the natural lash line. Let them get tacky and then press back together. You can use the tweezers to remove any extra glue. Then simply fix the makeup in the disrupted area with the eyeliner and you’re good to go! The same process applies if an entire eyelash comes off; just reattach the entire thing instead of one corner.
With these simple tools and a little bit of preparation, you can avoid any loose eyelash dilemma that would prevent you from wearing false eyelashes out in public on a regular basis.]]>

Getting ready for a big night out? Break out those false eyelashes! A date night demands drama and there’s nothing better than a great set of falsies to amp up your look. Whether you’re going out to a romantic dinner or out to a concert, there is a style of false eyelash that will work perfectly for your occasion.
If you’re going out for dinner, odds are that you will be in lower light from the candles and ambiance. This will enhance the dramatic look of your eyes, so opt for a false eyelash that has a higher volume lash but a natural length. You’ll want to avoid anything too extreme that will be magnified by the lower light. A strip lash that matches these requirements is the best type of lash to use for a full volume effect. Put on your eye makeup first, then add the strip lash before you finish with mascara. Add a touchup of eyeliner and a couple of coats of mascara to blend the false eyelashes with your natural lash line. For a more dramatic look, opt for a smoky eye and liquid eyeliner before you add the lashes.
If you are going out to a concert or other event where you’ll be in the dark or in a party atmosphere, you can go even more extreme. There are many false eyelashes that feature extras like extreme length or volume, color enhancement lashes, glitter or even feathers. While these may not be appropriate for most occasions, they can be a lot of fun when used for a party! When you use these types of lashes, there really are no rules. Pick out something fun that you enjoy and put them on! Usually, these types of lashes only come as a strip option. As always, apply your makeup first (except mascara), apply the lashes, and then finish off with some blending eyeliner and mascara.
When you are going for a full volume look, the sky’s the limit. Don’t be afraid to experiment with various styles until you find what works for you!
]]>Stay-at-home moms are a growing class of women all across the world. They live every day catering to their partners, their children, their pets, and their friends. Unfortunately, all too often they forget to cater to themselves. Most stay-at-home moms spend almost the entire day in their homes or running errands. When there’s so much to be done, convenience and speed is of the essence. A lot of the moms tend to say they feel frumpy, frazzled and even lonely, especially when surrounded by kids at all hours of the day.
Luckily, there is a simple solution to this issue for moms who feel like they have no time or energy to look nice and feel good about themselves. Instead of spending hours on hair and makeup, spending a few minutes putting on a set of false eyelashes is the easiest fix for a frazzled mom. One of the greatest things about false eyelashes is their ability to quickly and easily give women a makeover without a fuss.
A perfect indulgence could be to go out for a much needed lunch with friends or a date with her partner (or even just hit the grocery store alone!). The perfect pairing is a set of falsies. Shedding those mom jeans for a pretty summer dress, styling her hair down and simple makeup with the accompaniment of false eyelashes. All she needs is some concealer, lip gloss, blush, eyeliner, and the lashes. This is easy and fast enough even for the most exhausted mom.
False eyelashes are also a great solution if she wants to spruce up a little bit to run errands. The five minutes it takes to apply the lashes and throw her hair up can make all the difference in the way she feels when she’s out and about. Whether she wants a dramatic or a soft look, strip eyelashes can make her feel pretty and give her the boost she needs to keep going and get back to her family feeling refreshed.
]]>When you hear the words “False Eyelashes,” most people automatically think of the classic, dramatic full strip lash. However, false eyelashes are much more versatile than simply vamping up your look for a night out. For anything from a day at the office to a day out shopping, a great way to subtly enhance your look is to apply natural volume eyelashes.
The best way to achieve a natural volume look with false eyelashes is to forgo the long strip lash and instead apply individual lashes to your natural lash line. This will give you a subtle increase in volume and length without having to apply heavier makeup to hide the strip. If you have lighter hair and want an even more natural look, choose an eyelash that is the same color as your own natural lashes for a thicker look without the drama of a darker lash.
For the most natural look, apply all makeup except mascara before adding the lashes. A simple combination of cream colored eyeshadow under the brow and on the inner corners of the eye with a taupe shade in the crease is perfect. If desired, add a touch of black or brown eyeliner to the top and bottom lash line. When you apply the individual lashes, test out the amount of lash you desire by simply holding the individual lashes against your natural lash line with tweezers and deciding how full of a look you’d like. For the most natural look, a few false eyelashes concentrated toward the outer corners of your eye should do the trick. For a slightly fuller option, start spacing the false eyelashes about a quarter of an inch from the inner corner of your eye and apply them evenly across the lash line.
Once you’ve applied your false eyelashes, go back and touchup your eyeliner if need be, and follow with a coat or two of mascara to blend the false and natural eyelashes together. Use black mascara for the most dramatic effect, but a brown or clear will also be great if you’re looking for the most natural effect possible. Blending the lashes in this way will make them seem naturally yours for a perfect daytime look.
]]>A wedding is one of the biggest occasions in a woman’s life, one where she wants everything to be perfect. The way that the bride looks is a huge component of the big day. When she walks down that aisle, she wants to feel beautiful, timeless and elegant. The wedding makeup is a huge component of that feeling, and adding medium volume false eyelashes with gel eyeliner will be one of the best ways to enhance the bride and boost her from her everyday look to one that shines. The night bouquet lash is perfect for evening bridal makeup look.
When you add false eyelashes, they take your everyday look to another level. In the case of a wedding, you’re looking for a classic look that isn’t overly dramatic or understated. You need a little bit of oomph while keeping things classy. Enter the medium volume false eyelash. You can do this in two ways.
First of all, the simplest way is to use a medium volume strip lash. This gives you the simplicity of applying a single strip and will add the most volume and depth to your look. You’re going to want to look for a strip lash that has varied lengths of lashes on the strip for a more natural feel. These will blend seamlessly with the varied lengths of your own natural lashes. You can also use a strip lash that has shorter lashes toward the inner corner of your eyes with longer lashes toward the outside corners. This allows for a little bit of drama without the intensity of a full length strip lash.
Alternatively, you can apply individual false eyelashes. This gives you more control over the thickness of your lash look. If you decide to go with individual lashes, add enough to your natural lash line that you increase the volume of your lashes by about 50%, depending on the thickness of your lashes. If you have thin lashes, add enough individual falsies that you double the volume. This will leave you with the classy, medium volume effect that you’re looking for on the big day.

]]>1. You get a couple extra minutes to lie in bed every morning.
You know that feeling when you just wish you could sleep in just a tad bit longer? Well, we have a hunch that eyelash extensions were basically invented for that purpose. The benefit of getting eyelash extensions is that there’s one less step of your beauty routine. Unlike strip lashes which have to be applied and removed each day, eyelash extensions are semi-permanent.
2. Unlike that quick summer fling, it’s a committed relationship.
With strip lashes, you can rotate different styles on a daily basis to fit the occasion or your mood. Like a fling, strip lashes are all fun and games - switch it up whenever you want to! You'll just need to use your favourite latex free lash glue. However, getting eyelash extensions means having individual fibers glued to each of your natural lashes by a cosmetologist or aesthetician.
3. You’ll make a new friend.
Get comfortable in your chair (and talking to your cosmetologist) because getting eyelash extensions applied is more or less similar to posing for a still life painting; you’ll have to hold still for hours. Refills take place every few weeks (typically 3 - 4 weeks), and depending on your technician, the refill costs can range between $100 - $300. If you have the patience, and the money, it’s a luxurious treat.
If you’re able to wash your face, shower and sleep without ruining your lashes, then extensions are a great option for you. The glue that is used was designed to hold your eyelash extensions in place for a long period of time (3 - 4 weeks after application) until they eventually fall out. If you want to change the style of your lashes, they have to be removed professionally.
4. Like every haunted house on Halloween, there are forewarned dangers.
This isn’t trick or treat. Eyelash extensions do present some health concerns. Both Consumer Reports and the American Academy of Ophthalmology concur on the concerns and/or risks posed by eyelash extensions.
The American Academy of Ophthalmology maintains that users can experience an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the eyelash extension glue. According to Consumer Reports, it is also possible to get related infections caused by irritation to the cornea, as well as experience thinning and loss of your natural lashes, as the extensions are glued on to them. This condition is known as traction alopecia.
All in all, there are safer alternatives of achieving sultry lashes to frame your eyes. Be sure to do your research before you go to a salon! Your lashes will thank you. It is strongly recommended that users who want eyelash extensions find a well-reviewed technician operating in a salon with strict sanitary standards and who uses formaldehyde free glue for the lash application.
Bottom line: if you're a girl that enjoys having all your makeup off at the end of the day, then instead of eyelash extensions, strip false lashes will be your best friend. Regardless of the type of falsies you eventually opt for, may the lash force be with you.
]]>If you wear false eyelashes, you know that the biggest eyelash dilemma is the lash loosening or coming off. Most common in a strip style lash, the outer and inner corners of the strip can become detached if you’ve applied the glue incorrectly or if you use a glue with insufficient adhesive. This can be a huge problem if you’re away from home without a backup plan!
The best eyelash adhesive on the market is the ESQIDO Lash Glue. All-Day Hold lash glue that is a perfect solution for the loose eyelash problem. Made with a stronger adhesive, this type of lash glue is still removable with make-up remover and is applied the same way as your classic glue. When tested on the skin, the glue was allowed to dry until tacky for about 30 seconds and then applied to a section of the inner arm. After several seconds to fully dry, the lash was pulled on and gently rubbed (as you might do to your eyes) and still didn’t come off!
When you use this eyelash adhesive, it’s applied the exact same way as traditional glue. Put on your makeup, minus the mascara. Take your strip lash and dab a very small amount of glue all along the strip using a small makeup brush or the back of your tweezers. Let the glue dry for approximately 30 seconds until it’s tacky. Then use your tweezers to push the center of the false eyelash onto your natural lash line, followed by the inner and outer corners. Be careful when you apply, because the glue is very adhesive and will stay where you attach it. Then use your fingers to gently press your natural lashes together with the false strip to blend the lashes together. Touch up your eyeliner and add a couple coats of mascara and you’re set all day!
In order to remove the glue, soak a cotton pad in makeup remover and press into the strip of false eyelashes for at least 30 seconds to dissolve the glue. Gently pull on the eyelash, and if it doesn’t come off, continue to soak until the glue is loosened. Once softened, the lash will come right off! Strong, All-Day Hold lash glue is an easy, simple way to rock your voila false eyelashes all day, every day.

]]>Hey beauties!
We know first hand that finding the right pair of false lashes can seem like a huge task to complete. So we've put together a guide to help you figure out how to differentiate the different types of false eyelashes and what they're good for, the best fake eyelashes for beginners to try, and how to find the perfect pair of false eyelashes for your eyes. Read on for the full deets!
There are two main types of eyelashes on the market today: Synthetic lashes and Mink lashes. Let's quickly go over the two types!
Synthetic lashes are the most common type of false eyelashes, which are made from plastic man-made fibers. Depending on the brand and material, the lashes can range from thicker to very fine strands. They also tend to be more affordable in pricing due to the cheaper materials that are used to produce the lashes.
With ESQIDO's Unisyn™ lashes, we've used a new blend of ultra-fine synthetic fibres that result in ultra-soft, lightweight, and high quality reusable lashes, that are suitable even for beginners. They're incredibly beautiful, and they're easy fake lashes to put on.
Mink lashes are made from soft mink hairs, which allows for a light, soft, fluffy look, that's a similar quality to natural human lashes. This makes them super lightweight and the easiest false lashes to apply, especially for first timers.
With Esqido mink lashes, we also use a handcrafted cotton band that is extremely flexible, which means you can put them on quickly with a good lash glue, and they hold to the shape of your eyes.
Mink lashes are the crème de la crème of false lashes, so you'll pay a little more for the premium materials, however it can be seen as an investment, as you’ll be able to get multiple wears out of each pair.
Want to learn more about the different types of fake eyelashes? Read our blog post, "Synthetic Lashes vs Mink Lashes - What's More Natural Looking?"!
When first trying mink fake eyelashes, you may want to start with a style that is lighter in volume and length, which gives a more natural look! The light volume makes the lashes that much more comfortable to wear, and their naturalness makes them a seamless and versatile addition to any makeup look you would like to create. See below for our most natural and lightest styles of mink lashes!
A popular classic. With a slight flare on the outer corners of the lashes and natural length and volume, they're very versatile, and suitable for any eye type or size.
A good medium length and criss-crossed style, that gives a very playful look. This style is perfect for those looking for a bit more length without looking over the top, it's also a very popular choice for an elegant bridal look.
Cute not your thing? Get the mesmerizing and seductive eyes you've always dreamt of "Lashlorette" instead. With a wispy criss-crossed pattern, it accentuates the glow in your eyes for a sultry look.
We get it, it can be difficult to know if the styles will be the right ones for your eyes, that's why we've created an simple 7 step lash guide to help you find the perfect pair of false lashes. It's a very accurate tool, and especially helpful for first timers.
]]>Sustainable beauty is pretty big in the beauty world these days.
And on paper, it seems like a great idea. After all, what’s not to love about taking care of yourself by taking care of the world around you, right?
But once you get past the initial “yay!” phase, sustainable can suddenly seem lot more complicated.
Can you still wear that lip balm you like, even though it has honey and beeswax in it?
Do you have to throw out every beauty product you own and start over completely?
Is it even okay to wear makeup anymore?
Does this have something to do with never shaving your underarms or wearing deodorant again?
If you like the idea of sustainable beauty but aren’t sure how to go about incorporating it into your actual like, we’ve got good news: it’s actually easier to jump on the sustainable beauty train than you might think. All it take are three quick shifts in thinking:
There are a lot of chemicals in makeup these days, and a lot of these chemicals are produced in ways that can seriously damage the environment. And, just as bad, because these chemicals are so new, it’s hard to know whether they’re having any effect on your body (after all, your skin is your largest organ, and it can absorb a lot of product over the course of a day!)
To protect the environment and your own health, look for beauty products with natural, rather than synthetic ingredients. This means that instead of a long string of chloro-, mono-, hydroxy-, sulfate- words on the label of your shampoo or foundation, you want to look for things you recognize, like natural oils or real herbs.
If you buy products with certified organic ingredients, even better: they’re raised to have a minimal impact on the environment (awesome) and grown with less exposure to chemicals and pesticides (more awesome).
If you’re vegan, or trying to avoid animal products such as beeswax or honey, you may fhve to buy makeup with synthetic ingredients in it to replace the animal ingredients. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course -- everyone has different priorities! But in general, look for fewer unpronounceable chemicals and more words that you recognize.
Another key component of sustainable beauty is reducing waste, increasing recycling, and keeping products out of the landfill. Makeup can come with a lot of waste: plastic containers, single-use brushes, and unnecessary packaging.
You can avoid a lot of this unnecessary waste by paying attention to how companies package their products. Jane Iredale, for example, sells metal powder compacts that can be refilled, which means you don’t have to throw away a bulky plastic container every time your foundation runs out. Or you can support companies like Origins, which allows customers to bring in empty makeup containers for recycling.
Or, you can simply do your best to be conscious of recycling makeup packaging and containers in your own home, rather than throwing them away. (Like our 100% paper lash containers.) There are a lot of ways to embrace sustainable beauty, so find the one that fits best with your lifestyle.
The last key component of sustainable beauty is about longevity. There’s a lot of impulse buying in the beauty world, and a lot of using products once and then throwing them out. But that produces a lot of trash, a lot of shipping materials, a lot of wasted products and ingredients, which is not so good for us or our world.
To prevent this, find products you really love and use them over and over! Don’t use a lip gloss once and then leave it drying out in your makeup bag -- use it up!
Work to discover brands you trust and enjoy. Buy products that aren’t designed to be used once and then thrown away. (Like Esqido lashes! Did you know each pair can be worn many times? If only everything were that reusable...)
That’s not to say we’re killjoys over here -- part of the fun of makeup and beauty is trying out new things and playing around. We definitely don’t want you to stop doing that! But if you use something and don’t love it, it's easy to pass it on to a friend rather than throwing it away. And then keep playing with what you have left.
When you come down to it, embracing sustainable beauty isn’t all that difficult. All it requires is a little more mindfulness about what you buy and what you use. Try our gel eyeliner pencil for your perfect liner.
]]>You’ve been rocking those mink lashes all day, but now it’s time to take them off. What next? There are several different ways to remove false strip eyelashes, and all of them aim to soften the lash glue to release the lash. This is critical, as trying to pull the false eyelashes off without loosening the glue can cause you to break your falsies, pull out your own eyelashes or even tear the delicate skin around your eyes.
One of the simplest ways to remove false strip eyelashes is by using eyelash glue remover. This can be found at many beauty supply retailers or online. You’ll get the best results if you choose a remover that is the same brand as the glue you use since they’re designed to be compatible. You can also use eye makeup remover with similar results. If you’re using glue or makeup remover:
Another method for removing false eyelashes is to use steam. Steam can loosen the glue enough to pull off the lash, as well as providing a facial effect on your skin. To do this:
Yet another effective way is to use oil to remove the glue. If you use oil, however, it will render the eyelash useless to wear again, so make sure you use a different method if you want to reuse your lashes. If you want to use oil:
Is there anything worse than the second half of February?
The glitter and hopefulness of New Year’s has worn off, the romance of Valentine’s Day is behind you, and all you have to look forward to is weeks of dreary, cold weather. Your skin is dry, your hair is staticky, and it’s been an entire week since you saw any real sunlight.
It can be tempting to give up this time of year. To embrace the Netflix-bingeing, weight-gaining, sweatpants-wearing hibernation that seems so tempting. But odds are, if you do that, you’ll feel even worse in the long run.
So instead of giving up as winter slouches towards its finale, do exactly the opposite. Treat yourself. Pamper yourself. Embrace self-care as an essential part of winter survival. You’ll feel healthier, happier, and more ready to welcome spring when it (finally) arrives.
Instead of trying to be the busiest person you know, give yourself permission to take time off. Put it in your calendar if necessary: from 7 pm to 10 pm on Monday night, I will not answer my phone, check my email, or do anything except relax.
Scheduling downtime may seem like an unnecessary luxury, but the truth is, you absolutely need it. Not only will it give you time to unwind and recharge, the break will give your creative mind time to kick in. You might end up with the solution to a problem that’s been bugging you for months, or a great idea you can bring to your boss the next morning.
After the travel and expense of the holidays, it can feel wrong to spend money on yourself. But not only do you deserve a little pampering, this time of year, you downright need it. Try on a pair of Esqido mink lashes.
Set aside an hour each week to do something that makes you feel good. Whether that’s splurging on a massage, buying a Groupon for a B&B getaway, or simply treating yourself to a relaxing bubble bath is up to you. The important thing is that it serve no other purpose than to make you feel special and cared for. Because you are, and you should be.
Most doctors recommend that you aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night to keep your brain recharged and your body healthy. But the average American gets only about 6.5 hours. Even worse, about 25% of Canadians say they never sleep well, with another 20% saying that they lie awake worrying.
Getting enough sleep does everything from improving your emotional health to keeping your skin looking younger and firmer. So don’t skimp! Commit to getting at least 7 hours of sleep every night. Take your tv and computer out of the bedroom, slip into something comfortable, and get cozy. You’ll thank yourself in the morning.
How much of the day do you spend annoyed with the people around you? Your husband who left his breakfast dishes in the sink. The driver who cut you off. The co-worker who insists on writing her emails in all caps. All that anger does nothing to improve the situation; in fact, it probably just makes you stressed out and grumpy.
Instead, when little annoyances pop up throughout the day, try reminding yourself, “This person is trying their best right now, just like I am.” By practicing empathy for those who are struggling today, you’ll let go of a lot of stress (and hopefully build up some good karma for those days when you’re best doesn’t look to great, either).
When was the last time you set aside time for your favorite people?
In winter, it can be easy to go into full-on hermit mode and not leave your apartment for a whole weekend (or longer, if you work from home). And while layering up and heading out may not seem too appealing, a little socialization can go a long way to improving your mood. So schedule some time this week to get together with friends who make you laugh.
(Or, if you really don’t want to brave the cold, invite them over to your place. It still counts.)
Your hair is dry and frizzy. Your skin’s a mess. You’re wearing so many layers you feel like a marshmallow. You’re grumpy, you’re tired, and on top of it all, you can’t stop whining.
When you’re cold and miserable, it’s easy to fixate on the things that you think are wrong with you. But all that does it make you feel worse. Instead of focusing on the negatives, take time each day to compliment yourself -- your poise, your style, your friendly attitude. Then pass on the good vibe and compliment someone else. It will leave you both feeling more upbeat and valued.
When trying to get cozy at the end of the day includes mainlining junk food, the instant gratification of sugar and salt is followed by bloating, sluggishness, bad skin, and pesky extra pounds. None of which are going to make you feel your best.
So take care of your body and eat something healthy. Drink more water. Try out a new vegetable (celeriac, anyone?) Cook at home instead of buying takeout. Your body and your mood will thank you.
Don’t overdo it on the healthy eating and cut out everything special. No, you don’t need dessert after every meal, but a slice of spicy cake or a mug of frothy hot chocolate can go a long way towards keeping your spirits up. Some food is good for your body, but chocolate is good for your soul.
How many layers do you have on right now?
When sub-zero temperatures for you to pile on jeans over leggings over long underwear, feeling like a frumpy old lady is sure to follow. The best way to feel attractive, in spite of your three sweaters, is to make sure you have on a sexy bottom layer.
Today, treat yourself to some pretty new lingerie and wear it under all the wool. Even if no one else sees it, you’ll know you’ve got a fun little secret, and it will make you feel instantly more confident and beautiful.
Sure, it can be tempting to stay inside when the wind chill is producing near-arctic conditions. But you need to stretch your legs and, more importantly, get some sunlight.
Not only is sunshine the best source of health-boosting vitamin D, just a few minutes of direct sunlight will help improve your mood and reduce your stress. Just try standing in a spot of sun after a string of gloomy, cloudy days. You won’t be able to stop smiling.
Cuddling is pretty much the most comfortable wonder-drug out there. It can lower your stress, increase your sense of well-being, improve your blood pressure, boost your memory, and reduce feelings of social anxiety. (And you thought it was just a good way to stay warm.)
So grab your sweetheart and start snuggling. And if you’re rocking the single life, no worries. You can get in on the action with a friend, baby nephew, sister, cat, puppy… just about anything and anyone who is snuggle-able will do. All that matter is that you get those feel-good hormones flowing.
Sure, you probably glance into car windows to make sure your hair isn’t going crazy, or pull out your phone to see if there’s something in your teeth. But when was the last time you stopped in front of a mirror just to say, “Damn, I look good”?
Positive affirmations have a way of working themselves into your subconscious. The more you appreciate yourself, the more positive you will feel about the way you look. So next time you’re hopping out of the shower, take a moment to give yourself the once-over and tell yourself you look beautiful. Because, trust us, you do.
Do you dress to match your mood? Well, this winter, try dressing to match the mood you want to have.
Even -- especially -- if you wake up feeling tired and cranky and useless, pull out your favorite outfit. Whatever makes you feel like some powerful combination of Beyonce, Natalie Dormer, and Michelle Obama all rolled into one. Spend some timing putting on makeup. Do something with your hair other than your usual ponytail.
No matter how you’re feeling or how your day goes, at least you’ll know you look awesome. And one less thing to worry about will always make you feel better.
We’ve all got people we love. Partners, spouses, best friends, new flames, brothers, mothers, aunts, grandfathers… The next time you talk to one of these people, make a point of telling them, “I love you” before the conversation ends.
But first, make it a rule that before you can tell someone you love them, you have to say it to yourself. Because you should be your number one priority. And a little love goes a long way in this world, especially when it’s for you.
Do you know someone who’s feeling stressed or mopey this winter?
Send her this post and encourage her to spend some time caring for herself instead of worrying about everyone else!
(Or, send her an idea for a little something pretty… because every woman needs some glamour in her life!)

When training, wearing makeup or coiffing hair is impractical and requires energy that any top athlete is reserving for competition. Aside from precious energy, time is also scarce for the professional athlete who is spending their days training, traveling, and prepping for competition. However, at the end of the day, even the staunchest competitor wants to be able to go out and blow off steam and look pretty doing it. When short on time and energy, the best and easiest way to quickly feel soft and feminine is to throw on some mink lashes and hit the town.
False strip eyelashes are so quick and easy to apply with latex free eyelash glue that they are the best choice for replacing the hours it takes to apply a full face of makeup. This is especially true for an athlete, who may not have the most experience or skill when it comes to applying Hollywood-level makeup. However, anyone can apply false eyelashes. A little bit of concealer and blush combined with a dramatic, thick falsie will instantly add that feminine touch that a female athlete is looking for. If a girl is uncomfortable with such a dramatic shift from the make-up free look they usually sport, false eyelashes come in a huge variety of lengths and thicknesses, so they are versatile and can be customized to any event.
Once a female athlete applies their false eyelashes, they are able to instantly relax and take a break from the constant competition that runs their day to day lives. The femininity provided by falsies will create a confidence that will allow these athletes to always feel like winners.
]]>Eyelash extensions have been all the rage in recent years, to get longer, more voluminous fake lashes. But as it grew in popularity, there's been more studies about the harmful effects of permanent lash extensions.
Luckily, there's now much better options to get long and thick volume, with a natural curl, without having to apply lash extensions. These include cluster lashes, or the more popular false strip lashes such as synthetic lashes, mink lashes, and silk lashes.
Typically, most options are mink lash extensions, which are the most natural looking but also the expensive in terms of cost. A trained technician will need to apply the lashes onto your natural lashes individually with a strong and semi permanent adhesive and precise tools. The process usually takes an hour or two, and can cost anywhere from $80-200 depending on the skill of the technician applying and the quality of their materials.
Strip lashes come in a variety of types, and are typically the best option for lash beginners or veterans alike! There are a few popular types: Mink lashes (highest quality), silk lashes(OK look but slightly more affordable), human hair/synthetic lashes(cheaper but not as natural looking).
With ESQIDO, we've pioneered two types of lashes that completely redefined the naturalness, and comfort you can expect from false eyelashes.
Our Mink Lash Collection is a high quality mink strip lash that looks and feels (even better) than cluster or permanent extensions. The individual hairs are wispy and comes in a good range of volume, and they look virtually indistinguishable from your own natural lashes. They're also hypoallergenic and crafted with a soft cotton band for a very lightweight and comfortable wear. The best part - they're incredibly easy to apply, and can be worn multiple times, even up to a month of daily wear!
Our Unisyn™ Lash Collection is a brand new type of synthetic lash, which is made from an ultra-fine blend of synthetic fibres, for a very natural look and feel. Like our Mink Lashes, we also make them with a soft cotton band for wearability and ease of application. They cost less than mink, and they're an amazing choice for beginners. They're very easy to reuse with virtually no aftercare needed after each wear.
Here's a photo comparing the before and after of eyelash extensions and our Mink false lashes
Before & after with eyelash extensions
Before & after with ESQIDO Mink Lashes in style "Unforgettable"
As you can see, with our Mink strip lashes, it's now possible to have:
If you already have eyelash extensions applied, you can still give false eyelashes a try, especially if you use a gentle lash glue that you can remove without damaging your extensions.
We recommend finding a style that's a little more voluminous than the lash extensions you already have, and apply them as close to your lash line as possible so they blend in seamlessly with your individual extensions.
When most people think of mink lashes, the first thought is of classic strips that are applied to your upper eyelid. But what about your lower lashes? They make falsies l for this area too! The benefits are easy to see once you try out your false eyelashes on this versatile part of the eye.
Most importantly, lashes can be added to the lower eyelid in order to balance out the look of your eyes and really enhance their shape. If you’re like many women with sparse lower lashes, a few falsies tucked along the lash line can fill in the area and create a fuller effect to match the top lashes. If you’re looking to make your eyes appear wider, you can apply lower false eyelashes only to the outer third of your lower lash line to boost your eye shape. With so many different options, it’s easy to play around with the different styles of lower false eyelashes until you find what works best for you.
A second benefit of lower falsies is that you don’t have to apply entire strip eyelashes to your lower eyes to make them pop. In fact, it’s recommended to simply apply piece lashes or a few individual lashes to the lower lash line if you’re looking to subtly enhance your natural lashes. This works great for a day out or working in the office. Of course, if you would like an intense, “night out” effect, full strip lashes applied to both top and bottom lashes will easily give you the drama you’re looking for.
Another great thing about wearing under-eye lashes is that you get the beauty of thick, dark lashes without having to spend a fortune on makeup. It can take a $30 tube of mascara to thicken the tiny lashes under your eyes, and even then it won’t look as full as adding the extra texture of false eyelashes. After you apply the lashes to your lower lash line, you just need a tiny swipe of basic mascara to blend the lashes and you’re ready to go!
With all of the information out there about false eyelashes that go on your upper eyelid, it’s easy to forget about the lower half of your eye. However, the benefits are huge and with a few extra minutes (and since you have your tools and long lasting eyelash glue out anyway) your eyes can really pop with the maximum volume you get from lower false eyelashes.
